Becoming Quetzalcoatl Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 70 ratings

A drunken kite-boarder, Cody Catanzaro, falls harder for Dr. Amanda Knoxville than he fell from the sky while trying to jump the Mobile, Alabama pier. A mysterious implant is found in his gluteus maximus during an MRI, and the implant turns out to be an exact replica of a crop-circle that had appeared in England in the year 2007. That crop-circle pointed to a two-week period in 2012. A two-week period that many paranormal experts believed would have something to do with the return of Quetzalcoatl, the ancient Mayan god.

Cody had inexplicably gone missing during those two weeks, and has no recollection of his lost time.

Did Quetzalcoatl actually return? Bizarre happenings suggest that maybe he did.
As more and more weirdness begins to follow the clueless kite-boarder, Cody decides he wants to change for Amanda Knoxville. He has no idea of how much change is in his future, and how much the future of the world will depend upon his change.

Strange concepts and a variety of characters intertwined together to make one ponder all manner of scenarios. At some point I shall read this one again.

My first book by this author.I thought it would be more historical, and thus the first part seemed to drag and throw me off. As the story got more into the sci-fi realm, as well as the metaphysical and quantum theory, it began to pick up in interest for me. By the end I was completely fascinated. There was some Mayan history, but the author used all parts of his education to tell a really good story. I will read more by this author.

This intriguing book takes a lot of legends about the end of times as predicted by the MAYAN ROSETTA STONE and yes even some of our own SCIENTISTS predictions having to do with the year 2012 , again based on the MAYAN ROSETTA STONE. Even some learned scientists thought PERHAPS THIS WOULD HAPPEN...the world's end. The characters in this story provide a writers scenario of another look at IT. CODY, a sort of windsurfing, has an accident and when taken to hospital they discover a chip buried in his backside . Then he starts healing from injuries and making physical changes that are unexplainable. He then inexplicably teleport to Mexico and find everyone there thinking him a GOOD. A GOD FROM THEIR LEGENDS. He is famous and now expected to perform miracles. But can he do the impossible and SAVE MANKIND ? This is a fast paced story that will THRILL you and if you are anything like me...wishing it were true. If you too wondered about the ROSETTA STONES IMPLICATION OF THE END OF OUR WORLD..YOU HAVE TO READ THIS. IT'S AMAZING! I RECOMMEND.

I've read all of Greg Brulte's books, so I was really excited to see this new one hit the shelves. I love the stories, and the narratives keep getting better with each book I read. He has some common threads: a hapless but clever protagonist, mystical empowerment, romantic zeal, ancient historical mysteries, and a touch of sci-fi. Not to mention the clever, humorous dialog peppered throughout. Becoming Quetalcoatl is no different, but it shows a continued maturation of his style. I can't wait for the next one!

This humorous science fiction story is tied to the hysteria over the end of the Mayan calander on December 21,2012.
It's a funny and strange story involving alien abduction, the multverse and the Mayan god in the title.

I really enjoyed following Cody-Cat`s transformations from wild part time professor to a God and space traveler . Some Mayan history and science are written into the story, too.

I have not read the book yet. I laughed so hard over the sample I had to have it. It just skyrocketed to the top of my reading list. Am starting it today. Can't wait.
