Narcissism Epidemic: 24 Tips to Teach Good Manners to Any Narcissist (Transcend Mediocrity Book 161) Kindle Edition

3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 8 ratings

ME, ME, ME!
If you have a needy narcissist in your life, you may love his endearing, fun-loving personality while hating the emotionally immature behavior and volatility of the narcissistic child trapped in an adult's body.
Learning to deal with narcissists can save your life.
However, you don’t have to be living with a violent, explosive, manipulative, abusive narcissist to benefit from understanding the narcissists around you, whether they are family members or a boss, coworker, or friend. The tips in this book can help you stay safe and emotionally strong as you deal with narcissists effectively or get them out of your life.
In Narcissism Epidemic: 24 Tips to Teach Good Manners to Any Narcissist, author Jamie Keller:
•Explains the traits of the narcissist, including lack of empathy and accountability as well as the charm of a child.
•Discusses the range of narcissistic tendencies.
•Discusses how the narcissist’s behavior—which may include lying, manipulation, rage, and theft—affects those around him in emotionally damaging ways.
•Discusses the multigenerational aspects of narcissism; the child of a narcissistic parent can become a fragile seven-going-on-forty adult with insatiable needs.
•Provides 24 tips to help you set boundaries to ensure your own safety and survival while giving narcissists an opportunity to heal and grow up.

Narcissism has been called the disease that makes others suffer. This book can help you take control and stop suffering.

Jamie Keller is a life coach and an authority on narcissistic personality disorder. Jamie has witnessed firsthand the devastation that can happen to families who are living in domestic violence shelters because of narcissistic abuse.

Jamie has been on the front lines, coping with all of the narcissistic behavior that you have been exposed to. Jamie analyzes narcissists inside and out to see why they tick and what to do about them.

It has become the author's mission to protect anyone who is suffering at the hands of the narcissist, to persevere through cheating/divorce/abuse/custody battles, and to pull them out of the ashes.

Narcissists can take away your children, get you into legal hot water, rob you blind and control your assets. They can devastate your very survival and your emotional well-being. A narcissist can kill you.

If you think that your narcissist isn't capable of these things, think again. Nearly 4,000 women die each year at the hand of their abuser.

This was a very informative book. All the tips and pointers seemed dead-on, but there were no citations, so take the info with a grain of salt. I enjoyed it and thought it was helpful.

I did not finish the book because it was opposite of what I read about a narcissist. I got nothing out of the 3/4 part that I read. I would not recommend it.
