Jacob Compton was born in Saginaw Michigan and grew up in the Mitten. Jacob later went to the U.P. for college at NMU where he graduated with a B.A. in history. It was college that Jacob started work on his first story and also discovered a love a travel. He spent a summer Vienna and a semester aboard in Athens.

After college Jacob went to work in Korea as an English teacher. After Korea he went to China and then Japan. Jacob worked on and gained his Masters in Education after leaving Japan. He then went back to Korea for a few years. Jacob now works in China as a college lecture in the small mountain of Meizhou, which has 5 million people, at Jiaying University.

Jacob has been reading Mysteries since he was a child, his favorites being Tony Hillarman's Navajo Policemen Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee, also Lawrence Sander's Archy McNally.

Humorous story of original characters with highly unusual ways of making a living. The humor is twisted and sometimes it will catch you later after the action has sunk in. Looking for the next book by this author!
